Questions about the Cla Series multi-parallel system?

Due to the modular design of the Cla series fermenters, it is the perfect choice for multiple fermenters. With the gradual introduction of Cla multi-parallel vessel system into the market, many questions have also arisen. HOLVES will use this article to answer customers’ questions.

  • Question 1: How is the multi-parallel vessel system connected?
Answer: The Cla multi-parallel system is similar to building blocks, combining functional templates with chassis and vessels. The parameter monitoring electrode line of each vessel is connected to the chassis, and a switch is connected to each chassis through a network cable for data transmission and control. One of the chassis is equipped with a 15-inch HMI for total control.

  • Question 2: What is the bus?
Answer: The bus is a structural form describing electronic signal transmission lines, a collection of a type of signal lines, and a common channel for information transmission between subsystems. Through the bus, the information between the components in the whole system can be transmitted, exchanged, shared and logically controlled.

  • Question 3: What kind of control network does the Cla multi-parallel system use?
Answer: At present, in the field of industrial control, industrial Ethernet technology and industrial fieldbus technology are the most widely used. Based on the product's strength, applicability, and real-time, interoperability, reliability, anti-interference, intrinsic safety and other needs, our Cla multi-parallel system has selected a very influential industrial Ethernet bus technology. Siemens PROFINET protocol.
In the multi-parallel system of the fermenter, the bus switch is the medium for data transmission of all chassis. The CPU inside the switch will form a MAC by mapping the physical address (MAC) to the port when each port, that is, each chassis is successfully connected. surface. In future communications, data sent to this address will only be sent to its corresponding port, not all ports.

  • Question 4: What are the advantages of choosing an Ethernet bus design?
① The switch has an internal switching matrix and a back bus with high bandwidth, and all ports are connected to the back bus. Through the internal switching matrix, the data packets can be directly and quickly transmitted to the destination chassis instead of all chassis, so that it will not waste network resources, resulting in very high efficiency.
② The security of data transmission is very high.
③ The data bandwidth of the switch is exclusive. Under this premise, in the same time period, the switch can transmit data between multiple chassis.

  • Question 5: Can multiple Cla210 single vessels be used in parallel? Can the Cla multi-parallel vessel system be split into single vessel for use?
Answer: Before answering this question, two particularities of single-vessel and multi-parallel system need to be known:
① The single vessel system is equipped with a 10-inch touch screen, and the multi-parallel system is equipped with a 15-inch touch screen. This size is fixed according to the system and cannot be changed.
② The single vessel system has a built-in exchanger, while the multi-parallel system also needs to add an external exchanger for data transmission.

How can a single vessel become a multi-parallel vessel?
If the customer has purchased multiple SETS of Cla210 single vessel system and wants to change it to multi-parallel system in the subsequent use, professional engineers are required to modify it at home. In addition, a 15-inch touch-screen master control of multi-parallel system is added for data transmission with an external switch.

How a multi-parallel system becomes a single vessel?
After purchasing a multi-parallel system, the customer needs to replace it with a single vessel system, and needs to contact HOLVES professional engineers to add a 10-inch touch screen to each chassis, cancel the external switch, and refit some lines.

To sum up, according to the different needs of different customers, the Cla series can be flexibly applied, but it must be operated by HOLVES professional engineers.

  • Question 6: What is the difference between the multi-parallel system function interface and the single vessel function interface?
Answer: The main parameter data of all vessels will be displayed on the general interface, which is convenient for monitoring. If you need to perform detailed parameter control or other functions individually, you can expand the specific single vessel manipulation interface.
